What is Build A Quote?
A quote calculator for your trade that sits on your own website. Your customer answers a few questions and sees a price worked out from your rates. You get the enquiry by text and email.
Is it a quote or an estimate?
It's an estimate: a guide price worked out from your rates. Set one rate and your customer sees one figure. Set a low and a high rate and they see a range. You give your quote once you've seen the job.
Whose prices does it use?
The rates in your tool. Set your own, or start from ours and change any you like. Send us new rates whenever you like and we update your tool.
What does it cost?
£99 a month per tool for 1 to 3 tools, £299 a month for 4 to 8 tools and £499 a month for 9 or more. There's no set-up fee. Optional onboarding help is £199. The accountancy tool is £299 a month.
What's a tool?
A tool prices one type of job. Boiler installs is one tool, boiler servicing is another.
Is there a contract?
No. There's no minimum term. It runs month to month, and you can cancel with 30 days' notice.
Can I try it first?
Sometimes. Get in touch, tell us about your business and we'll talk it through.
How do I pay?
By Direct Debit or standing order.
How long until it's live?
Your tool can be live within hours of your rates being agreed and tested.
I don't have a website. Can I still use it?
Yes. Your tool has its own link. Put it on Facebook, Google and WhatsApp, or text it to customers.
How does it get onto my website?
We send a short snippet for your website and talk your web person through it.
What do I receive when a customer sends a price?
A text and an email, as soon as your customer presses send. The email has their contact details, every answer, the price they saw and any photos they added.
What happens to my customers' details?
Their enquiry comes to you, and only you. We never pass it on.
Does the price include travel?
No. Your customer's price doesn't include travel. If a job is beyond your free miles, your enquiry email shows roughly how far, and about what each visit's travel costs at your rate.
My trade isn't listed. Can you make a tool for it?
Often, yes. We build new tools for new trades. Tell us your trade and how you work out your prices, and we'll come back to you honestly about whether we can price it properly.
