What it counts that a phone call misses
Doors need trimming
A new floor is usually thicker than the old one. Doors come off, get trimmed and go back on. The tool counts them.
What's underneath matters
Boards, chipboard or concrete change the prep. A floor that dips needs levelling, so the tool asks before anything's lifted.
Halls take more cutting
A hall is narrow and takes more cutting than its area suggests. The tool allows for it.
Stairs go by the flight
Stairs are priced per flight, not by area, with nosings where they're needed.

Flooring: common questions
Can it price different floors in different rooms?
Yes. The customer can choose the same floor throughout, or a different floor in each room.
Does it include stairs?
Yes. Stairs are priced per flight, on your rates.
Can I offer only the floors I fit?
Yes. Customers are only offered the floors you switch on.
Does it allow for travel?
Your customer's price doesn't include travel. If a job is beyond your free miles, your enquiry email shows roughly how far, and about what each visit's travel costs at your rate, so you can allow for it.
I'm not VAT registered. Is that OK?
Yes. Your tool shows prices to match how you trade, with or without VAT.
Am I tied to the price?
No. It's a guide from your rates. You confirm the price once you've seen the job.
