What it counts that a phone call misses
Sash windows
Sash windows are priced on their own rates, with extra labour for the cords, weights and joinery. They are not averaged in with casements.
Bays
A bay is priced by its number of sections, not as a single window.
Low windows and upstairs bedrooms
Windows near the floor need safety glass. Upstairs bedrooms need windows people can escape through. The tool asks how many and prices them.
Heavy doors upstairs
Patio, sliding and bi-fold doors going in upstairs need lifting. The tool asks where they go and adds the lift.
It sits on your site, in your colours.

Windows & doors: common questions
Can it price just windows, or just doors?
Yes. The customer says windows, doors or both, and the questions that don't apply are skipped.
Which doors does it cover?
Front, rear, side, French, bi-fold and sliding patio doors.
Does it ask about listed buildings?
Yes. It doesn't change the price, but it tells you before you quote. Listed and conservation properties often need like-for-like replacements.
Can it price sash windows?
Yes. The customer picks sliding sash and its grade, and the price uses your sash rates.
Am I tied to the price?
No. It's a guide from your rates. You confirm the price once you've seen the job.
