What it counts that a phone call misses
Scaffold depends on the house
One storey is done from ladders. Taller jobs get a scaffold, priced by the storeys and by whether the house is terraced, semi or detached.
Old roofing is heavy
The tool works out the weight of the old covering and picks the skip size from it.
A repair isn't a re-roof
Full replacement, re-tiling and a partial repair are priced differently. A small job gets a tower or ladder allowance instead of a full scaffold.
Extras are measured
Fascias and guttering are priced by the metre and the material. Chimney work and skylights are priced as extras.

Roofing: common questions
Can it price flat and pitched roofs together?
Yes. The customer says if the roof is pitched, flat or both, and each part is priced on its own covering.
Does it include scaffolding?
Yes, where the job needs it. A one-storey job is done from ladders. Taller properties get a scaffold from your rates.
Can it price fascias, guttering and chimney work?
Yes. These are optional extras. The customer adds the ones they want.
Does it allow for travel?
Your customer's price doesn't include travel. If a job is beyond your free miles, your enquiry email shows roughly how far, and about what each visit's travel costs at your rate, so you can allow for it.
Am I tied to the price?
No. It's a guide from your rates. You confirm the price once you've seen the job.
