The questions you'd ask on the phone.
Your customer answers these before they ring. Their answers set the price, on your rates.
- What type of waste do you have?
- Roughly how much waste is there?
- Where will the skip be placed?
- What is the ground surface like?
- How is access to the placement area?
- How will the skip need to be delivered?
- When do you need the skip?
- How long do you expect to need it?
What it counts that a phone call misses
The right size skip
The tool turns the amount and type of waste into a volume and a weight. It picks the cheapest mix of the skips you offer that will carry it.
Heavy waste
Soil and hardcore weigh far more than household waste. The tool keeps them out of the maxi skips and keeps grab lorries for dense waste, if you run one.
Skips on the road
A skip on the public highway needs a council permit. The tool adds it for each skip.
Crane drops and tight access
A crane lift and a narrow or awkward approach are added for each skip delivered.
It sits on your site, in your colours.
Fewer wasted calls
The customer knows the price range before they ring.
A price that covers the whole job
Waste type, permit, crane and access are all in it, on your rates.
The detail in your inbox
Waste type, amount, placement and delivery arrive with the enquiry, with any photos they add.

Skip hire: common questions
Can it price more than one skip?
Yes. If the load needs more than one, it says how many and prices each delivery.
Does it use just the skips I own?
Yes. It recommends sizes you have switched on, and prices them on your rates.
Can it charge extra for quick delivery?
Yes. You can set a charge for delivery within 24 hours or within a few days, and it is added when the customer picks it.
What about asbestos and other banned waste?
The estimate carries a note that you cannot take hazardous waste, such as asbestos, chemicals, gas bottles, fridges and tyres.
Does it allow for travel?
Your customer's price doesn't include travel. If a job is beyond your free miles, your enquiry email shows roughly how far, and about what each visit's travel costs at your rate, so you can allow for it.
Am I tied to the price?
No. It's a guide from your rates. You confirm the price once you've seen the job.
