The questions you'd ask on a visit.
Your customer answers these before you visit. Their answers set the price, on your rates.
- What would you like to cool?
- Which rooms would you like cooled?
- How much glass, and which way does it face?
- What level of kit are you after?
- Where could the outdoor unit go?
- Roughly how far is that from the rooms?
- How should the pipework run?
- Is the property listed, or in a conservation area?
- Would you like it to heat as well as cool?
- Internal access
- When do you need the work done?
What it counts that a phone call misses
Each room is sized
The tool works out the unit for each room from its size and how much sun it gets. More glass means a bigger unit.
One outdoor unit, several rooms
The outdoor unit is sized from the combined load and priced once. It is not charged again for every room.
Long pipe runs
If the outdoor unit is on another part of the floor or another floor, the extra pipework is added for each room.
Mounting and hidden pipework
Where the outdoor unit goes and whether the pipes are hidden both change the price. The tool asks.
It sits on your site, in your colours.
Fewer wasted visits
The customer sees a guide price before you go out.

Air conditioning: common questions
Can it price more than one room?
Yes. The customer ticks the rooms and gives each a size. Each room gets its own indoor unit.
What about a whole house?
The tool prices room by room. For a whole house, the price notes that a ducted system may suit and is quoted after a survey.
Does it cover servicing?
No. It prices new installations. The price tells the customer to call you about servicing or repairs.
Am I tied to the price?
No. It's a guide from your rates. You confirm the price once you've seen the job.
